Terms of Service

Version 2.3 — Last updated: August 19, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the TypeHuman website, browser extensions, Loop Five review tools, CareerTap and student-card tools, Playground and writing tools, Trade Lounge community and voice features, dashboards, integrations, and related paid or free products (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Notice. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1) Who we are

The Service is operated by TypeHuman LLC, a Georgia, USA limited liability company (“we,” “us,” or “our”). Contact: contactsupport@typehumanllc.com.

2) Eligibility & Accounts

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with the knowledge and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms on your behalf.
  • Trade Lounge is a separate 18+ community feature. You may use Trade Lounge only if you are at least 18 and complete its adult-eligibility attestation. Parent or guardian permission does not make a person under 18 eligible for Trade Lounge.
  • Trade Lounge is currently a United States-only service. You may use Trade Lounge only while residing in and accessing it from the United States. You must not use a VPN, proxy, false account information, or another method to evade this territorial restriction. Other TypeHuman products may have different availability.
  • You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Keep your password secure and notify us of any suspected unauthorized use.

3) Subscriptions, Billing & Refunds

  • Paid features are provided on a subscription basis through our payment processor (Stripe). Before checkout, we display the price and renewal interval. By affirmatively accepting the recurring-billing disclosure and starting a subscription, you authorize Stripe to charge the displayed amount at each renewal until you cancel.
  • You can manage or cancel online through your TypeHuman Dashboard and Stripe billing portal, without calling or emailing us. Cancellations ordinarily apply at the end of the then-current billing period unless the cancellation screen says otherwise. Account deletion cancels active subscriptions immediately.
  • Prices, included features, usage allowances, and renewal periods are shown at checkout. Separate TypeHuman products may require separate subscriptions. Taxes may be added where required.
  • We send receipts and legally required subscription notices to the email address associated with your account. Keep that address current.
  • No refunds are offered except as required by applicable law or to correct clear billing mistakes (for example, duplicate charges). If you believe a billing error occurred, contact contactsupport@typehumanllc.com promptly.

4) License to Use & Device Limits

  • We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use our browser extension (“Extension”) and access the Service for your personal or internal business use, subject to these Terms.
  • If your plan includes a license key, it is tied to your account and may be used on a limited number of devices (by default, up to two (2)) unless otherwise stated in your plan. We may require device binding, and we may revoke or lock a license for policy violations, abuse, or excessive device changes.
  • You may not resell, sublicense, share, or publicly distribute your license key, account access, or subscription benefits.

5) Acceptable Use

  • You agree to use the Service responsibly and in compliance with applicable laws, site rules, school/workplace policies, and platform terms. You must not use the Service to deceive, impersonate, harass, infringe, exfiltrate data, or bypass access controls.
  • The Extension simulates human-paced typing to reduce strain and improve productivity. You agree not to use it in prohibited contexts (for example, secure exams, proctored tests, restricted corporate systems, or any interface where automated input is forbidden).
  • You must not reverse engineer, interfere with, or attempt to bypass any technical measures (ours or a third party’s) designed to protect accounts, content, or systems.
  • Review and testimonial features may be used only for genuine customer experiences. Businesses must not create fake reviews, require a particular sentiment, offer sentiment-conditioned incentives, suppress lawful negative reviews, impersonate customers, or use the Service to violate a review platform's rules. Customers retain control over whether, where, and in what form they share a review.
  • Community and voice features must not be used for threats, unlawful financial promotion, market manipulation, harassment, doxxing, impersonation, or sharing information you lack permission to disclose. Additional Community Guidelines apply where posted.

6) Product-Specific Responsibilities

  • Loop Five. Business owners are responsible for their business information, Google Business Profile, responses, customer communications, and compliance with Google Maps, advertising, consumer-review, and privacy rules. Private feedback is an optional communication channel and must not be used to prevent a customer from sharing an honest public review.
  • AI-assisted tools. Drafts, rewrites, summaries, review replies, and other generated material may be inaccurate or unsuitable. You must review and edit outputs before relying on, publishing, or sending them. You remain responsible for the final content and any decision made from it. These productivity and writing tools are not a person, therapist, crisis service, medical provider, or emergency service. If you or someone else may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or an appropriate crisis resource.
  • Career and student tools. You must have permission to upload resumes, photos, references, and contact information. You are responsible for deciding what profile information is made public.
  • Trade Lounge. Content is informational and is not financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Trading involves risk, and you are solely responsible for your decisions. Trade Lounge is a mature-language community: ordinary profanity may occur and is not by itself prohibited, but profanity does not excuse targeted harassment, threats, hateful conduct, doxxing, scams, phishing, impersonation, sexually explicit prohibited content, illegal activity, or deceptive market-manipulation coordination. User statements are their own and are not endorsed by TypeHuman.
  • Trade Lounge users must clearly disclose any payment, free product, referral benefit, ownership interest, employment, or other material relationship connected to a broker, issuer, security, trading service, course, community, or product they endorse. Undisclosed touting, deceptive pumping, scalping, coordinated manipulation, and false or guaranteed-profit claims are prohibited.

7) Third-Party Services

We rely on third parties to provide parts of the Service (for example, Stripe for billing, Supabase for authentication and data storage, OpenAI for AI-assisted features, Google for sign-in and Business Profile integrations, LiveKit or similar providers for voice, Vercel for hosting, and browser extension stores for distribution). Your use of those services may be subject to their terms and privacy policies. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services.

8) Your Content, Permissions & Privacy

  • You are solely responsible for the text, prompts, or other content you provide to or through the Service. You must have all rights and permissions needed for that content.
  • We handle personal data as described in our Privacy Notice. You acknowledge that we process account, content, integration, billing, device, and operational data as needed to provide, secure, and improve the Service.
  • You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, transmit, display, and create technical or AI-assisted transformations of that content only as needed to operate the Service, follow your instructions, maintain safety, and comply with law.
  • If you submit information about another person, including a customer, employee, reference, or community member, you represent that you have a lawful basis and any required permission to do so.

9) Compatibility & Updates

  • We aim to support common browsers and operating systems, but performance may vary by device, OS version, browser version, network, website, or security policy. Some sites or fields may block automation.
  • We may deliver automatic updates, patches, or changes (including disabling or altering features) to maintain security and reliability. Continued use after an update means you accept the update.

10) Suspension & Termination

  • We may suspend or terminate your access (including revoking a license key) if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, misused the Service, or created risk for us or others.
  • You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal.

11) Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING (WITHOUT LIMITATION) IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, SECURITY, AVAILABILITY, OR ACCURACY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR COMPATIBLE WITH EVERY WEBSITE, FORM, OR SYSTEM.

12) Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES; LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL; OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

13) Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to (a) your use of the Service, (b) your content, or (c) your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

14) Export & Sanctions

You represent that you are not located in, under the control of, or a national or resident of any country or person subject to U.S. embargoes or sanctions. You agree to comply with all applicable export control and sanctions laws.

15) IP; Feedback

We and our licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the Service, including all related intellectual property. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use and incorporate any feedback or suggestions you submit, without obligation to you.

16) Takedowns & Complaints

If you believe content or behavior via the Service infringes your rights or violates law, email contactsupport@typehumanllc.com with details. We may remove or disable content, suspend accounts, and/or notify relevant parties as required by law.

17) Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will take effect no sooner than seven (7) days after posting (unless we are required by law or security to act sooner). Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective means you accept the revised Terms.

18) Governing Law & Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to conflict of law rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in Georgia for any dispute arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms.

California addendum: California residents retain any mandatory consumer rights and remedies that cannot be waived under California law. Nothing in these Terms limits those non-waivable rights.

19) Miscellaneous

  • Entire Agreement. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede any prior or contemporaneous agreements.
  • Severability. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in full force.
  • No Waiver. A failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver.
  • Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
  • Survival. Terms that by their nature should survive (for example: payment obligations, license restrictions, IP rights, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, governing law) will survive termination.
